‘Los Chris’ Wedding Identity Design

Designing for a couple who values intentionality, culture, and storytelling means crafting every element with purpose. The logo becomes a compact emblem of their rich heritage. The motifs and type choices are drawn from meaningful cultural references, balanced with contemporary simplicity so it reads clearly across print and digital formats.

The invitation and detail materials served as tactile narratives: paper weight, color palette, and layout had to harmonize with subtle cultural patterns, illustrations, and deliberate wording to set tone and expectation while inviting guests into the couple’s story.

The website extended the rich cultural narrative through layered details like custom illustrations, photo galleries of the wedding venue and the city. Since this was a destination wedding, it was essential to include information that communicated traditions, clarified logistics, and offered exciting moments of discovery for the guests traveling in.

These three illustrations served as powerful symbols of the couple’s union. The hibiscus flower, a vibrant native of the warm region of Yucatán. The ruins that were on-site at the Hacienda were one of the most important symbols for the couple’s union as they had a Mayan ceremony by a shaman to honor both Chris and Christen’s ancestors. The “Confidant” chairs (Las Sillas Confidentes) were also a symbol of the region and representative of love and communication.

Together, these pieces formed a cohesive suite where each detail was chosen to reflect identity, preserve memories, and celebrate the intention behind the beautiful union.
